Special Projects to Support

- Education Empowerment Fund
In the countries we serve education equals Empowerment for young girls. While buying Blessing Basket products ensures many of the girls are able to attend school - it doesn't mean they are fully equipped. Many girls need extra funding for school uniforms, supplies, tuition, and even bikes for the 5 km hike to school. If you choose this project 100% of your donation will be distributed to various schools in the villages we serve to help offset additional education expenses for girls who need extra support. Cost: $100- $150. This buys everything one student needs for one year including a uniform, shoes, bedding, meals, pens, and testing fees.
- School Bathroom
With the help of Whole Foods Market, we were able to build the very first public junior high school for girls in Nyariga, Ghana. Enrollment has soared from 20 girls to 120 - and the school needs a proper bathroom facility. While we do have a privacy area for the girls to use as a bathroom, we are seeking funds for proper bathroom facilities for both the girls and the teachers. Cost: $7,000.
- General Operations
Just like your home office or business, it takes office supplies to keep things running smoothly at The Blessing Basket Project. As a result we are in continual need of office supplies, computers, cameras and the like not only for our domestic operations, but also for our international operations as well. 100% of your general operation donation will be used to help offset the business cost of running the organization and enable us to return more money to those we serve. Cost: $200 monthly.
- Travel
We serve weavers in six countries. Our founder visits the weavers in every country at least once a year to ensure operations are going smoothly and that we are accomplishing our goal of poverty reduction. Please consider contributing to this significant but necessary operational expense. Cost: $3500 - $4500 per trip per country OR donate your frequent flyer miles by contacting us.
